What youll do  

Responsibilities:

• Operate and Maintain Water Jet Machines:
• Setting up and operating the water jet machine according to blueprints, specifications, and production requirements.
• Loading and unloading materials (e.g., metal sheets, plates) onto the water jet machine, ensuring proper alignment and handling. 
• Inputting and adjusting machine parameters, such as water pressure, abrasive flow,  to achieve desired results. 
• Inspecting and measuring finished parts using precision instruments (calipers, micrometers) to ensure they meet quality standards. 
• Identifying and resolving machine malfunctions, performing basic preventative maintenance, and keeping the work area clean and organized. 
• Communicating with supervisors, production control, and other shop personnel to resolve issues and ensure smooth operation. 

Following Safety Procedures:

• Adhering to all safety procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). 

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of water jet technology, machine operation 
• Blueprint Reading:
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and other specifications. 
• Precision Measuring:
• Knowledge and experience with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.). 
• Mathematics:
• Basic math skills for calculating material fabrication and setting machine parameters. 
• Mechanical Aptitude:
• Understanding of mechanical principles and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. 
• Communication Skills:
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, other operators, and production personnel. 
• Safety Awareness:
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and ability to follow them diligently. 
• Experience:
• Experience with water jet machines is highly preferred, but some positions may require experience with other machine shop equipment
