Position Summary
Set-up, adjust, and operate CNC Turning Center machines and be capable of tending multiple machines. Reset tools as required to produce parts within close limits where finish requirements are difficult to maintain.
Responsibilities
- Set-up, adjust, and operate CNC Turning Center machines
- Be capable of tending multiple machines in a production mode
- Required to keep maintenance and production logs
- Work from blueprints, operation sheets, programs, specifications, and verbal instructions
- Maintain tools and machine adjustments
- Must be accountable for process, evaluation, measurement, documentation, and improvement on a continuous basis
- Reset tools as required to produce parts within close limits where finish requirements are difficult to maintain
- Check set-up and production parts using a wide variety of precision measuring instruments
Qualifications
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Short term trade training in NC or CNC (1-2 years)
- Minimum of 1-3 years in metal turning
- Good math, reading and writing skills
- Have a knowledge and understanding of conventional/conversational programmin
- Basic computer skills
