The UK & Ireland Sales Company are recruiting for a Quality & EHS Specialist, this role will be based at our Ansty Park facility in Coventry, West Midlands. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference and join a fantastic team!
Job Purpose:
To ensure compliance with the EHS & Quality management systems (ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018). To lead and facilitate compliance projects and enquiries from customers. To improve customer experience by driving process improvements in the sales company.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and update of the Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015, IATF Remote Support Location)
- Maintenance and update of the Occupational Health & Safety management (EHS) system (ISO 45001:2018)
- Leader for Environment, Health & Safety for the UK & Ireland sales company to ensure safety is number 1 priority.
- Lead and facilitate projects to improve major KPI’s (Rejected Lines Per Million, Time To Acknowledge & Time To Resolution, P75 claims leadtime)
- Perform necessary quality training (problem solving, PPAP)
- Ensure customer compliance enquiries are completed and responded to. In addition work with EMEA teams to drive standardisation.
Key Accountabilities:
- Support the generation of an audit plan for all the necessary internal for QMS & OHS systems.
- Support external audits (third party, customer) for a smooth audit and positive results.
- Ensure findings from internal and external audits are closed and fed back to auditors according to agreed timelines.
- Perform internal audits according to the audit plan for the Sales Company and EMEA.
- Analyse both internal and external quality failure data and trends and generate and action plan to reduce failures and eliminate adverse trends.
- Respond to customer desktop audit questionnaires and provide relevant documentation.
- Perform improvement projects in the claims handling team with lean-six sigma tools to meet corporate standards in terms of execution of results.
- Review customer enquiries for compliance data on products and coordinate with divisions to ensure these are fulfilled.
- Maintenance and update of the OHS systems to ensure legal compliance. Lead incident investigations and ensure safety concerns, near misses and EHS actions are effectively closed.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Degree level qualified (or equivalent) in an engineering, supply chain or quality management discipline
- Strong problem solving and relationship skills
- Experience in ISO 9001 Quality Management System
- Experience in ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management
- Knowledge of problem solving tools
- PC Literacy is Essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel,Word & PowerPoint
- Excellent customer service skills
- Able to manage a range of complex priorities.
